If you have not looked at the Google Map of Mirador San Jose lately you might be surprised to see that Google has updated their earth imagery database. Mirador San Jose looks astonishingly different now. The latest pass by Google now shows a much more detailed high resolution aerial map of Mirador San Jose community. Google Maps by default shows the map view with only showing Avenida de las Americas at the moment and the newly approved Bus stop locations. Also worth noting that the old Avenida de las Americas location will be re-submitted to Google, as the current and old version location is not correct and shows to be to the south of the proper location.
However when you select the little earth image on the left while in map view, this changes the map display to earth view. All of a sudden you now see much more details than before. Now you can see more buildings and the individual streets in the entire community as it was early in the year of 2014 when the latest update was made by Google. We can’t determine the month of the update by Google, but appears to be possibly around February or March possibly.
Behind the scenes, web masters and people passionate about the community of Mirador San Jose are busy monopolizing now with Google’s new update. With clear aerial imagery showing the roads and some of the buildings at the time, opens up huge mapping possibilities for Mirador San Jose. We now have our town. We can now label all the roads and places of interest.
Over the next several months, users should start seeing a Google map of Mirador San Jose to start looking more like the beta map currently being submitted to the Google Map team. The first map was submitted to Google in late 2009 when Avenida de las Americas had to be estimated. The Google aerial map at that time was of poor quality with Mirador San Jose community barely even recognizable due to lack of details from the aerial image map. Since then Google has made updates in the area, but leaving out many sections of Ecuador until recently. We will keep you updated on the progress of Google’s approval of our streets and avenues in the community.
We hope that this latest inspiration will see other users contribute to our community map. The map is public so anyone may contribute submissions. We want it to be a group and public effort allowing our community to grow and prosper. With many hours and some 120 submissions already sent to the Google Map Team, the foundation has been already laid for the great work and additional contributions that will be continually added to the map.
